Good afternoon faithful E-news readers. This is Lance Finley coming to you from out on the path behind the General Conference office. I've got some exciting news to share today. We are hiring here at the General Conference office. We are looking for the next Director of Transformational Ministries. That's the role that I served in before I became the Executive Director. Now we are looking for the next person that will come along and carry on that work, continue the work of what we've tried to do in helping the churches live on mission, make disciples and develop leaders so that we can continue to be a part of God's kingdom work here on earth.
So, we are looking for a person who; 1) loves Jesus, who lives on mission in a real authentic way; 2) someone who loves the church, whether it's new churches that are being established or churches that are 200 years old, who sees all kinds of the church expressions as valuable and part of the body of Christ; 3) has the gifts and the abilities to walk alongside churches and help them in these three important areas of mission, discipleship, and leadership development. So, you can find more information on our webpage or you can contact me at [email protected]. Perhaps you are a person that's interested in a possibility like this or perhaps you know someone that should be prayerfully considering this. I would ask you to get in touch with me. We would love to talk more and see how God might be leading us to work together.
I'd ask you to pray over the course of the next couple months as we undergo the search. This is a pretty important role in the work of the General Conference and we know that God has the right person out there for us. We are ready to find out who that is and move forward. So be praying for us and again, if you are interested or you know someone who might be interested, please contact us or go to the website to get more information. We look forward to talking to you soon. Have a great weekend and God bless.
